I am Phoebe Perry.  I am a first-year at Agnes Scott College from Lincoln, Nebraska — “the good life”.

The only time I miss home is when I can’t find my socks or have a paper due in an hour.  Other than that I like wearing shorts in February and drawing from Magnolia branches.

My work process goes a little something like this:  1. get the idea 2. mull the idea over 3. sit down to work 4.  eat instead 5. chat with friends instead 6. walk around aimlessly instead 7.  freak out about how there is no way I could ever even attempt the idea 8. talk it out with a trusted adult 9. do it.  usually under some freakishly cramped time restraint.

Junior and senior year of high-school I went to an art-focus school but more for the block scheduling than my own artistic fulfillment.  I really got into my painting class- – I wish there was enough time to paint as a hobby.  (I realize there is time- – it’s up to me to find it.  I do not, however, find  ‘finding time’ a worthwhile activity.)

My goal in ART 160 is to be able to take an idea, conceptualize it, and effectively present the idea visually.  Too much to ask for an introductory course?

VISUAL THINKING: ART 160- – go!
